Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Collision Near Lakeview Road Tuesday
Watsonville, CA (December 8, 2021) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on State Route 129 on December 7, Tuesday.
The Santa Cruz Sentinel News reported a 1999 Lexus was spotted traveling at a high rate of speed on the highway in Watsonville. When the car approached the area near Lakeview Road, the driver allegedly lost control of the car. Our sources indicated the Lexus left the north roadway edge and hit a dirt ditch. Due to the force from the impact, the car rolled over multiple times.
When rescue teams arrived at the crash site, they found the driver and passenger both ejected from the vehicle. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the driver but the 33-year-old man sadly succumbed to his injuries and died.
Woman, 44, Hospitalized After Car Accident on State Route 129 in Watsonville
Authorities added the passenger, a 44-year-old woman, escaped death with major injuries. An ambulance rushed the patient to Natividad Medical Center for treatment.
