Pedestrian Killed in Watsonville Crash at Rodriguez and Beach Streets
WATSONVILLE, CA (December 3, 2021) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Rodriguez and West Beach streets in Watsonville.
According to an article published by The Pajaronian, the tragic accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 3:15 p.m.
The incident began when a female pedestrian was walking west across Rodriguez Street at the intersection with West Beach Street in Watsonville.
At the same time, a white Ford F-250 approached from eastbound Beach. Police said for an unknown reason, the pickup truck hit the woman in a crosswalk.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found her lying on the ground. She sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the Ford stopped and cooperated with the officials. Officers forced the area of Rodriguez and Beach streets to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the fatal Watsonville pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
