1 Injured in Watsonville Hit-and-Run Crash on Casserly Road Near Charter School
WATSONVILLE, CA (September 19, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Casserly Road in Watsonville.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 7 p.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Watsonville. They crashed at 115 Casserly Road near the Alianza Charter School.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described the vehicles as a large truck and a Honda. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Whiting Road.
Medical personnel found one person who complained of pain to their head and chest as a result of the collision. They then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to help and fled the area.
Officers forced a stretch of Casserly Road near the charter school to close following the accident. The Watsonville hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
