Man Struck, Injured by Garbage Truck Near Green Valley Road
WATSONVILLE (August 25, 2017) – A man suffered injuries after being struck by a truck on Freedom Boulevard, according to Kion 5/46.
The incident occurred in the morning of August 24.
Initial reports mentioned a man was walking near Green Valley Road when he was hit by a garbage truck. The collision resulted in injuries that required hospitalization to the 35-year-old pedestrian, officials said.

Meanwhile, authorities learned in their preliminary investigation that the man was apparently jaywalking in the 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard when the collision happened.
At this time, investigators are still gathering more information on the accident.
