Motorcyclist Killed in Watts Crash at Compton Avenue and Century Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 25, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist at Compton Avenue and Century Boulevard in Watts.

According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 6 p.m.
The incident happened when a man was riding a motorcycle south on Compton Avenue, approaching Century Boulevard, in the Watts neighborhood. At the same time, a car was going north.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Los Angeles police said the driver then tried to make a left turn onto Century in front of the rider. In the process, the two collided in the intersection.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the motorcyclist down on the ground as as a result of the collision. He soon died at the scene.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Police added that the other motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the wreck.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Compton and Century to shut down for a time after the incident. The cause of the fatal Watts crash is still under investigation.
