Juvenile Hurt in Go-Kart Crash at Washington Street and Highway 299
Weaverville, CA (November 13, 2022) – Two people, including a female minor, suffered injuries following a go-kart accident that occurred in the area of Washington Street and Highway 299.
Auto vs. Go-Kart Collision in Weaverville
The Redheaded Blackbelt News reported the operator of the go-kart was driving in the streets of Weaverville Sunday afternoon. When the go-kart approached the intersection at Washington and SR-299, the driver apparently made an unsafe turning movement to avoid a vehicle. Officials said the go-kart swerved and possibly rolled across the roadway.
Shortly after 1:50 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the two riders suffering in injuries. According to the article published online, one female juvenile sustained a broken pelvis as a result of the incident. Emergency crews transported the juvenile, and another victim to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Personal information on the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Several factors surrounding the collision have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine liability in the traffic accident that happened at Washington Street and Highway 299 in Weaverville.
