WEED, California (July 13, 2016) — A bicyclist suffered major injuries when he fell off his bike after a dog attacked him while riding his bicycle near 26833 Edgewood Road, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The bicycle crash and vicious dog attack took place about 10:23 a.m. this morning. Police say the dog ran out of a home at 26883 Edgewood Road and caused the man on his bicycle to crash and then the dog bit him.
Animal Control workers were called to the scene to handle the loose dog and put the animal in quarantine.
Paramedics responded to help the injured man who suffered major injuries in the attack.
Police are investigating the dog attack and are speaking to the animal’s owner.
