Woman in Wheelchair Struck, Killed on Clovis Avenue
FRESNO, Calif. (Nov. 12, 2024) – Wendy Coffman, 60, of Fresno, was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash Saturday on Clovis Avenue in Fresno.
The Fresno woman was crossing the street in a wheelchair when a driver struck her, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
Fresno authorities reported the crash occurred on Saturday, Nov. 9th, near Inyo Street in southeast Fresno.
Investigators working on the case reported the northbound motorist continued driving without stopping to help the injured woman.
Wendy Coffman was transported to a local hospital, but sadly she later died from her injuries, the report said.
Finally, detectives are working to locate the suspect and the vehicle involved in the crash.
