Wendy Rosas, 21, Dies in Traffic Collision on McFadden Avenue Sunday
Santa Ana, CA (August 22, 2021) – Wendy Rosas, a 21-year-old driver, suffered fatal injuries following a suspected DUI car crash on McFadden Avenue.
According to My News LA, Wendy Rosas was behind the wheel of a Ford Edge heading east on McFadden Avenue. Due to the alleged intoxication of the driver, Wendy Rosas ended up slamming into the back of a Toyota Sequoia.
The force from the impact caused to Ford to veer onto the south sidewalk. Authorities said the Ford smashed into a utility pole in the 4800 block of W. McFadden Avenue.
Shortly after 12:15 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the location. First responders found the driver of the Ford unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, Wendy Rosas succumbed to her injuries and died.
2 Hospitalized After DUI Car Crash in Santa Ana, August 22
Authorities added two passengers from the Ford suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. Responding paramedics rushed the two patients to a local hospital for treatment.
Per article published online, investigators believed alcohol played a role in the horrible crash; after they found numerous containers of alcohol in the car.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
