Motorcyclist Killed in Crash in West Hills; 2 Injured
WEST HILLS, Calif. (Jan. 21, 2022) – A motorcycle crash on Roscoe Boulevard left the rider dead and two hurt Thursday afternoon in West Hills.
The motorcyclist reached speeds above 100 mph prior to crashing head-on into the vehicle in a fatal crash.
The rider was thrown about 100 feet following the impact and landed on a sidewalk where he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The collision happened about 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 20th in the 22800 block of West Roscoe Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Two other people believed to have been in the car were treated for undisclosed injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, the car suffered major front-end damage in the collision with the motorcycle.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported they were tracking the motorcycle after a report it was stolen. They claim they were not chasing the bike at the time the crash occurred, but there are no further details.
The motorcycle crash on Roscoe Boulevard remains under investigation.
