Man Arrested on DUI Charges; 4 Injured in Crash
WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (Oct. 3, 2018) – Four people were injured when a suspected drunk driver crashed into a metal pole that holds up an awning outside a popular West Hollywood night club.
The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta that crashed was identified as Brandon Baker-Grey.
The collision took place just before midnight on Tuesday in front of the Whisky a Go Go at 8901 Sunset Blvd. The car crashed into the awning pole at the club’s entrance. Police say that Baker-Grey was traveling northbound on San Vicente Boulevard at a high rate of speed when he attempted to turn westbound onto Sunset Boulevard
All four people who were hurt suffered minor injuries, but two were transported to a hospital, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Police arrested the driver at the scene on drunk driving charges after finding his blood-alcohol content was twice the legal limit of 0.08.
