Pedestrian Hit by DUI Driver in West Hollywood
WEST HOLLYWOOD (August 6, 2017) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by an alleged DUI driver early Sunday morning in the area of Harper Avenue and Sunset Boulevard, according to NBC Los Angeles.
The collision took place just after 3 a.m. at the intersection.
As per the article, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the pedestrian was walking across the street when the victim was hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian became pinned underneath the car and was then freed by responding medical personnel. The patient, whose name was not released, was immediately taken to a hospital and was listed in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the motorist involved was also hospitalized under police watch for suspicion of DUI.
In this case, although the accident is still under further investigation, the driver will likely be held responsible for causing the collision. The motorist is suspected of driving under the influence, which is considered as a serious crime in any state especially if another individual has been injured in the process.
