Pedestrian Killed in West Rancho Dominguez Crash Near Avalon and Rosecrans
WEST RANCHO DOMINGUEZ, CA (April 9, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Avalon Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue in West Rancho Dominguez.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the fatal accident took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the collision at about 11:38 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in West Rancho Dominguez. The driver hit the person on Avalon Boulevard, just south of the intersection with East Rosecrans Avenue.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person. Officers forced the area of Avalon and Rosecrans to shut down for a time following the collision.
The cause of the West Rancho Dominguez pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
