1 Injured in West Sacramento Crash on Westbound Highway 50 Near Harbor Boulevard

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (August 2, 2021) – At least one was hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 50 in West Sacramento.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on August 1 at about 12:14 p.m.

According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in West Sacramento. They crashed on westbound Highway 50, just west of Harbor Boulevard.

2 Cars Collide

The incident log described the cars involved as a white Toyota RAV4 and a white Lexus GX470.  Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took the patient to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment with minor injuries.

Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.  Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Highway 50 to shut down following the wreck.

The cause of the West Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
