Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in West Sacramento Crash on Interstate 80 Near Enterprise
WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (October 23, 2022) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist on the Interstate 80 near Enterprise Boulevard in West Sacramento.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:38 p.m.
CHP said the rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a car collided for an unknown reason in West Sacramento. The two crashed on the westbound Interstate 80 near the Enterprise Boulevard off-ramp.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and found the motorcyclist down on the right hand shoulder. The patient sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The name of the victim and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. The cause of the West Sacramento crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the westbound lanes of the Interstate 80 to shut down near Enterprise after the incident.
