WEST SACRAMENTO: Semi-Truck, SUV Crash on Interstate 80, Enterprise Blvd.

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif., (July 21, 2026) — A crash between a semi-truck and an SUV resulted in minor injuries early Tuesday in West Sacramento on Interstate 80 East near Enterprise Boulevard.

The incident, reported on July 21st at approximately 4:48 a.m., occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-80 just east of Enterprise Boulevard, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) logs. Initial reports indicate that a vehicle was overturned and is blocking lanes one and two, leading to significant traffic disruptions.

Emergency responders, including units from the Yolo Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene. They confirmed that one of the involved vehicles, a Subaru SUV, sustained major rear-end damage. Fortunately, the injuries reported were classified as minor.

The scene was secured, and a traffic break was initiated to facilitate the clearing of the vehicles. Tow services were requested for the involved vehicles, including the semi-truck and the Subaru SUV.

The CHP has updated the status of the collision from a major incident to minor injuries as investigations continue. They are urging any witnesses to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.
