Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Westlake Hit-and-Run at Seventh and Bonnie Brae
LOS ANGELES (May 22, 2019) – A bicyclist was seriously injured after an alleged hit-and-run crash in the area of Seventh and Bonnie Brae streets earlier this month.
According to an article written by KTLA, the accident took place on May 11 at around 3:20 a.m. in the Westlake neighborhood.
A surveillance video obtained by the officials showed that the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Seventh and Bonnie Brae streets.
Police said the driver was making a left turn onto Bonnie Brae Street when they crashed into the oncoming cyclist. The rider hit the windshield, rolled off the car and then landed on the ground.

Paramedics responded to the scene and immediately took the victim to a hospital with a broken leg. The name and condition of the patient at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist involved did not stop to render aid and continued on Bonnie Brae Street. The suspect vehicle was described as a light-colored SUV.
