1 Killed, 1 Injured in Westminster Crash Near Magnolia Street and McFadden Avenue
WESTMINSTER, CA (December 4, 2022) – A DUI crash killed a man and injured another near Magnolia Street and McFadden Avenue in Westminster.
According to The Orange County Register and KTLA News, the tragic accident took place early Sunday. Officers reported the wreck at around 1 a.m.
Westminster police said a pickup truck slammed into a sedan in the city. The two cars crashed in the 15500 block of Magnolia Street, near the intersection with McFadden Avenue.
One vehicle then plowed into the garden wall of a nearby home due to the impact of the collision. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the 25-year-old Santa Ana man driving the sedan dead at the scene.
DUI Driver Hits Another Car
The male driver of the pickup ended up hurt as a result of the incident. Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police determined that the motorist in the truck was under the under the influence when he hit the victim.
They soon arrested him on suspicion of DUI. Officers forced the area of Magnolia and McFadden to shut down for a time following the wreck.
