Motorcycle Rider Injured in Car Crash on 405 Freeway

WESTMINSTER, Calif. (April 9, 2024) — A motorcycle versus car accident happened Tuesday morning on the southbound Interstate 405 Freeway at Springdale Street in Westminster.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 7:22 a.m. on April 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the rider crashed into the back of the vehicle in the fast lane of the freeway due to unknown circumstances. The rider went down in the roadway’s No. 1 lane and suffered undisclosed injuries.

Paramedics responded to transport the injured rider to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries from the crash.

A tow truck removed the damaged motorcycle and police are investigating the cause of the crash and liability.
