1 Killed in Westmont Crash at Western Avenue Imperial Highway
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 24, 2021) – One was killed after a crash at Western Avenue and Imperial Highway in the Westmont neighborhood.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the collision on Thursday night. Officers then reported the accident at about 10:49 p.m.
CHP said motorcycle rider struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Westmont. The two collided at the intersection of Western Avenue and Imperial Highway.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon confirmed that one person died as a result of the crash. CHP did not confirm if the victim was the pedestrian or the rider involved.
The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, officials forced the area of Western Avenue and Imperial Highway to shut down following the collision.
Authorities are still determining if alcohol, drugs, speed or distracted driving played a role in the accident. The cause of the fatal Westmont crash still under the investigation.
