1 Injured in Westmont Hit-and-Run Crash at 108th Street and Normandie Avenue
WESTMONT, CA (October 13, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at 108th Street and Normandie Avenue in Westmont.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Tuesday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at around 8:11 p.m.
The incident happened on October 12 when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the community of Westmont. They crashed at the intersection of West 108th Street and Normandie Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
The report described the cars as a blue Chrysler and a gray Toyota Corolla. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Washington Preparatory High School.
Medical personnel found one person hurt as a result of the collision. They then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident.
The report did not release the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers forced the intersection of 108th Street and Normandie Avenue to shut down for about half an hour following the wreck. The Westmont hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
