Major Injury Crash on SR-37 Monday
Westwood, CA (September 7, 2020) – Injuries were reported following a traffic collision on State Route 36 at Birch Street, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The crash took place Monday at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Primary reports indicated a vehicle of unknown make and model veered off the highway for an unknown reason and smashed into a tree.
At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Westwood Car Accident, September 7
When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found a male outside the wreckage and a female trapped. Paramedics attended to both parties involved in the crash. The CHP later confirmed at least one person suffered major injury as a result of the collision.
The name of the injured person, and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.
Additional details on the incident have not been revealed thus far. Investigators continue to determine the precise cause of the accident.
