Major Injury Collision on Feather Lake Highway Wednesday
Westwood, CA (January 6, 2022) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of State Route 44 and Mooney Road.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a truck carrying a heavy load crashed on SR-44, also known as Feather Lake Highway. Initial records indicated the big rig sustained flat tires on the rear-end due to the collision.

Shortly after 9:22 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First rendered aid to all possible victims in the accident. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person suffered major trauma as a result of the wreck. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Investigators handling the case stayed at the scene. Officials continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the traffic accident on State Route 44 in Westwood.
