Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian Highway 65 at Dry Creek Levee Road Friday
Wheatland, CA (September 10, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred on State Route Highway 65 at Dry Creek Levee Road, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Initial records indicated a black Ford Fusion struck a male party at the Wheatland intersection. The CHP logged the horrible crash at about 11:40 p.m.
When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found man wearing a black hoody lying on the ground. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victims but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Possible Hit-and-Run Crash in Wheatland, September 10
Responding police officers found the Ford pulled over to the right-hand shoulder of the freeway. However, the driver apparently abandoned the car.
It remained unclear whether authorities are investigating the incident as a hit-and-run crash. Detectives continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident in Wheatland.
