Major Injury Crash on Sonny Bono Memorial Freeway Thursday
Whitewater, CA (April 1, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car accident on Interstate 10, also known as Sonny Bono Memorial Freeway, Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, two or more vehicles collided in the eastbound side of I-10 Freeway. The crash took place near Haugen-Lehmann Way in Whitewater.
Officials logged the traffic accident shortly before 12:50 p.m.

When emergency teams arrived at the site, they found a tanker truck involved in the wreck. Meanwhile, the make and model of other automobiles involved in the incident remained unclear.
Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the crash. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the incident.
Additional details on the collision have not been revealed thus far. For this reason, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise cause of the car accident in Whitewater.
