2-Vehicle Collision at Whitewater Near Redlands (10) Freeway
WHITEWATER, Calif. (May 17, 2024) — A two-vehicle crash in Whitewater happened Friday afternoon at Railroad Avenue and Haugen Lehmann Way.
The head-on collision occurred at around 2:12 p.m. on May 17th, just south of the Interstate 10 Freeway, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a blue 2019 Toyota Camry and a second vehicle were involved. Two people in the Toyota were injured in the crash with complaints of chest pain.
Authorities investigating the collision stated one of the drivers may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
Tow trucks removed both damaged vehicles from the roadway.
The case remains under investigation to determine fault for the Whitewater crash on Railroad Avenue.
