Driver Injured in Collision Near Coachella Valley
Whitewater, CA (March 4, 2023) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on the Interstate 10 Freeway just west of the Coachella Valley.
My News LA and KESQ News published articles online reporting an accident between a pickup truck and semi. For reasons still unclear, the two vehicles collided in the westbound side of I-10 near Whitewater Avenue offramp.
Officials said the accident took place on March 4, Saturday, around 3 a.m.
Major Traffic Crash in Whitewater
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the pickup pinned underneath the big rig. Rescue teams reportedly had to cut out the driver of the pickup from the wreckage. After the man was freed, paramedics rushed them to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Personal information on the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the traffic accident that happened on Interstate 10 in Whitewater.
