Major Crash on Leffingwell Road in Whittier
WHITTIER, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2022) – An injured man fled a Whittier car accident today on Leffingwell Road at Carmenita Road.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 12th, according to a California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a 4-door Chevrolet sedan crashed into the side of a Tesla in the northbound lanes of Carmenita Road the car was making a left-hand turn. The vehicles blocked several lanes of the roadway due to the crash.
Meanwhile, a man from one of the vehicles exited the car and fled the scene. Authorities noted the person has major injuries and there was “a lot of blood in the vehicle,” the report said.
Both vehicles required tow trucks due to major damage on the side for the Tesla and on the front for the Chevrolet.
Investigators continue to work on the case.
