WHITTIER, California (June 5, 2016) – A female deputy and an elderly woman were injured after a 2-car crash at Telegraph Road and Valley View Avenue, according to an article by Whittier Daily News.
The accident which took place at around 10:50 a.m. involved a patrol car and a Lexus sedan.
As per the article, the deputy was traveling west on Telegraph responding to a report of an alarm activation when she was struck by a Lexus driven by an elderly woman. The force of the impact resulted in the deputy trapped in his wrecked patrol car.
Responding firefighters extricated the deputy before taking her and the elderly woman to hospitals for treatment of sustained injuries.
The names of the involved parties have not been released at this time.
