3 Injured in Whittier Crash on Beverly Boulevard Saturday
WHITTIER, CA (August 6, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a DUI crash on Beverly Boulevard in Whittier.
According to the CBS Los Angeles and My News LA, the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:44 a.m.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Whittier. They crashed in the 10700 block of Beverly Boulevard.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
One of the cars involved rolled over and came to a rest on its roof. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of three people hurt.
One of them sustained critical injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed all three patients to a trauma center for treatment.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Beverly Boulevard to shut down following the wreck.
The incident happened when one driver lost control and hit a power pole right in front of a Starbucks. Officials believed that the motorist was under the influence.
The impact knocked out the power for at least 600 people in the area. The Whittier crash is still under investigation.
