2 Killed, 2 Injured in Crash Near Whittier Boulevard and Esperanza Avenue
WHITTIER, CA (May 14, 2022) – A crash killed two people and injured two others near Whittier Boulevard and Esperanza Avenue in Whittier.
According to the KTLA News and My News LA, the tragic accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at around 1:50 a.m.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed near the intersection of Whittier Boulevard and Esperanza Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
The cars, described as red and black sedans, obtained major front-end and side damage as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and extricated one trapped occupant from the wreckage.
Two people soon died at the scene. Medical personnel then took two more patients to a trauma center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced Whittier Boulevard to shut down for several hours following the crash.
The cause of the fatal wreck is still under investigation.
