1 Injured in Whittier Hit-and-Run Crash at Pioneer and Washington Boulevards
WHITTIER, CA (June 22, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Pioneer Boulevard and Washington Boulevard in Whittier.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Monday evening, June 21. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 7:07 p.m.
CHP said a black Nissan 4-door sedan and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Whittier. They crashed at the intersection of Pioneer Boulevard and Washington Boulevard.
Car Collision Near 605 Freeway
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the 605 Freeway. They found an occupant of the Nissan who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that the driver of the other vehicle involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
Officers forced the intersection of Pioneer and Washington to shut down following the collision. The Whittier hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
