Officer Injured in Collision at Telegraph Road and Mills Avenue
Whittier, CA (June 3, 2022) – A police officer suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred in the area of Telegraph Road and Mills Avenue.
Patrol Vehicle vs. Van in Whittier
The CBS News published an article online reporting an accident involving a marked patrol vehicle, and a van. Authorities said the patrol vehicle was driven by a 26-year-old Whittier Police Department officer. While the female officer was on her way to assist another cop in unincorporated South Whittier, she collided with a van at the intersection of Telegraph and Mills.
Shortly after 1:15 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding medical personnel rendered aid to all parties involved in the wreck. According to the article published online, the female officer sustained injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics transported the injured officer to a nearby hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Meanwhile, the two occupants in the van both appeared unharmed after the collision.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the traffic accident happened at Telegraph Road and Mills Avenue.
