WILDOMAR, California (June 12, 2015) — One person was killed early Friday morning when their pickup truck veered off the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway into a ditch, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash was reported at 4:29 a.m. just north of Bundy Canyon Road. A witness in a tan 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pulled over and reported there was a car on its roof about 50 feet off the roadway. CHP officers and the Riverside County Fire Department responded to help the victim trapped in the wreckage, but they unfortunately died at the scene. Police called for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Coroner.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the crash.
