The accident happened at around 1:57 a.m.
Preliminary report stated that California Highway Patrol Officers tried to stop a certain vehicle for the roadway violation of lacking headlights.
Instead of pulling over, the involved vehicle, an unspecified SUV, fled away.
The event led to a police chase and came to an and when the SUV collided into another vehicle, as mentioned in the article.
The force from the impact concluded in two individuals from the SUV sustaining wounds. Both parties, including a child, were transported to a nearby hospital.
