Wildomar Man, 65, Killed in Jurupa Valley Pedestrian Accident
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 18, 2022) — William Deis, 65, of Wildomar, died early Thursday morning in a pedestrian accident on Mission Boulevard, just west of Caleb Street in Jurupa Valley.
The deadly crash occurred about 5:10 a.m. on Thursday, November 17th, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
Deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to the the collision and located the man gravely injured in the roadway, police said.
The driver of a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck had pulled over to the side of the roadway.
Meanwhile, paramedics were on the scene attempted to save the victim’s life, but sadly William Deis was pronounced deceased at 6:15 a.m.
Investigators questioned the driver of the truck about what happened.
According to the Jurupa Valley Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was westbound on Mission Boulevard and came upon the pedestrian standing in the roadway. The motorist told authorities they attempted to swerve and avoid hitting the pedestrian. However, the pickup truck struck the Wildomar man and left him with major injuries.
The accident occurred on Mission Boulevard between Caleb Street and Tyrolite Street.
Investigators closed down the roadway to conduct the investigation.
It’s remains unknown at this time if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision.
