Man Riding Bike Struck By Vehicle
MENTONE, Calif. (August 1, 2023) — William Bruce Elliott, 55, of Redlands, died in a bicycle accident at Mills Creek Road and Highway 38 in Mentone.
The traffic accident occurred around 9:35 a.m. on Saturday, July 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers and paramedics responded to the Mentone intersection and located the 55-year-old man down in the roadway. The report did not provide any details about the motorist involved in the crash, nor what led up to the collision.
He was transported by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center and died at 10:21 a.m. the same day, the report said. Also, the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner identified William Elliott on its website.
Finally, the case remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
