Gilroy Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 101
Gilroy- According to the Monterey Herald, William Harmon, 26, of Gilroy, has been identified as the victim fatally injured in a motorcycle accident Monday afternoon on southbound Highway 101.
California Highway Patrol officials disclosed that William Harmon was splitting lanes as he proceeded along the highway. As traffic came to a stop, Harmon applied his brakes but somehow lost control of his Harley-Davidson causing him to be thrown from off his bike into the No. 2 lane.
Seconds later, a big rig Freightliner struck William Harmon tragically causing fatal injuries to the Gilroy man.
Police officials are still currently looking into all circumstances of the collision and have ruled out drugs or alcohol being a contributing factor.
