FRESNO, California (December 26, 2016) – Two were killed in a small airplane crash Monday near the Sierra Sky Park, according to The Fresno Bee.
As per the article, Fresno Fire Department said two people were on board the single-engine airplane when it crashed.
The Express S-90 plane reportedly had just taken off from Sierra Sky Park and then plunged into the San Joaquin River.
The wreckage was found near the San Joaquin Country Club.
Officials confirmed that both occupants died in the accident. They were identified as 47-year-old William Huene and 32-year-old Chase Splan, both from Fresno.
Huene was the pilot of the plane at the time.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
