Imperial Beach Man, 55, Identified as Pedestrian Killed in Crash
ESCONDIDO, Calif. (Nov. 18, 2024) — William Thurman Lesner, 55, of Imperial Beach, died on Nov. 6th in an Escondido pedestrian accident on Via Rancho Parkway.
The traffic accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 6th along Via Rancho Parkway near the Westfield Mall, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
The man was hit by a westbound Honda sedan while crossing Via Rancho Parkway and the driver stopped and spoke with investigators.
Bystanders performed CPR on the victim until police arrived, but unfortunately he did not survive. He died due to severe injuries at the scene.
Authorities do not suspect drugs nor alcohol were factors in the collision.
Finally, the victim was identified as William Thurman Lesner by the San Diego Medical Examiner.
