CONCORD (August 8, 2016)- William Lesser, 55, of Concord was fatally struck Monday morning near the cross streets of Pacheco Street and Port Chicago Highway.
Police were informed of the incident at roughly 7:42 a.m. as the man was struck by a 2008 Kia.
The victim became trapped underneath the vehicle and was removed by rescue personnel. He was rushed to a trauma center, where he did not survive and was sadly pronounced dead.
No details have been released regarding the cause of the collision as liability is under investigation.
Police officials confirmed the Kia driver remained at the scene and was not under the influence.
