William Thain King, 45, Killed in South San Francisco Pedestrian Crash
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 7, 2023) – Pedestrian William Thain King was killed after a crash on El Camino Real in South San Francisco.
The coroner’s office identified the 45-year-old South San Francisco man as the victim in the fatal accident which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when William Thain King was walking across the southbound lanes of the 1500 block of El Camino Real.
Man Hit by Vehicle
Police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him in South San Francisco. Paramedics arrived and soon found the victim left lying on the ground.
The Daily Journal and KRON 4 News wrote that the collision occurred on April 5 at about 1:06 a.m. William Thain King died at the scene of the pedestrian accident.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of El Camino Real to shut down for several hours following the collision.
The cause of the South San Francisco crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 650-877-8900.
