Pedestrian Killed in Early Morning Collision on Bear Valley Road in Victorville

Victorville, Calif. (April 23, 2025) — William Vargas, 32, of Victorville, was struck and killed early Saturday morning in a pedestrian accident on Bear Valley Road in Victorville, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responded to the scene just west of Mesa View Drive at approximately 12:56 a.m. on April 19th, 2025, the report said. When they arrived, they found the pedestrian, identified as William Vargas, unresponsive. Unfortunately, Vargas was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, authorities have not released details about the vehicle or driver involved in the incident. It remains unclear what led to the collision, and investigators have not yet stated whether alcohol, speed, or distracted driving played a role.

The Sheriff’s Department’s Victorville Station is handling the investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to contact their office directly.

Bear Valley Road was temporarily closed overnight as deputies processed the scene.
