2 Injured After Suspected DUI Driver Rear-Ends Car on Meridian Avenue
LOCATION: Willow Glen, San Jose
DATE OF COLLISION: Friday, December 7th
December 7, 2018 – An alleged DUI collision occurred and resulted in injuries early Friday on Meridian Avenue, according to the Mercury News.
At approximately 1:23 a.m., a black Volkswagen sedan was traveling northbound on Meridian. When the Volkswagen approached Willow Street, it was struck from the behind by a white Honda Accord driven by 32-year-old Daniel Alberto Quintana, of San Jose. The impact forced both vehicles to lose control, and end up plowing into an apartment in the 100 block of Meridian Avenue.
Primary reports indicated a male passenger in the Volkwagen suffered injuries as a result of the crash, and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the female driver of the Volkswagen was reportedly unharmed in the wreck.
Daniel Quintana Arrested After Injury Car Accident in Willow Glen Friday
Officials mentioend Quintana was also hospitalized for an injury not considered life-threatening following the incident. Shortly after the man was released, he was apparently arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.
