1 Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash at 119th Street and Willowbrook Avenue
WILLOWBROOK, CA (October 4, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at 119th Street and Willowbrook Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:10 p.m. in Willowbrook area.
The incident happened on October 3 when a bus and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of East 119th Street and Willowbrook Avenue.
Van Driver Hits Bus, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the Food 4 Less store. They found a male occupant of the bus who complained of pain to his chest as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The report did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to help and fled the area. They described the vehicle as a gray colored van.
Officers forced the intersection of 119th Street and Willowbrook Avenue to shut down following the crash. The cause of the hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
