Willows: Pedestrian Accident at Wood and Shasta Street

Woman Hit and Injured by Vehicle at Wood and Shasta

Willows, CA (December 2, 2022) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Wood and Shasta Street Friday night.

According to Action News Now, a vehicle struck a female party at the busy intersection in Willows. The make and model of the car involved in the collision have not been revealed thus far.

Earlier reports indicated the victim apparently crossed the street outside of a crosswalk. While in the middle of the roadway, an oncoming motorist did not notice and hit the woman. The force from the impact resulted in injuries to the pedestrian.

Pedestrian Airlifted to Hospital After Accident in Willows

Shortly after 5:41 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the victim until a medical helicopter arrived. The Reach 7 transported the patient to a hospital for treatment of major trauma. Personal information on the injured woman remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Detectives handling the case stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine liability in the pedestrian accident that happened at Wood and Shasta Street in Willows.
