1 Injured in Willows Crash on Interstate 5 Near County Road 57
GLENN COUNTY, CA (October 4, 2022) – A semi-truck crash left one person injured on the Interstate 5 and County Road 57 near Willows.
According to the Action News Now and KRCRTV News, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 5 p.m.
The incident happened when two semi-trucks and a commercial van collided for an unknown reason south of Willows in Glenn County. The three crashed on the Interstate 5 near County Road 57.
2 Trucks, Van Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found lumber spilled on the road. They confirmed that at least one individual ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the leg injury they sustained in the accident. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol forced the Interstate 5 to shut down in both directions near County Road 57 following the wreck. The cause of the Willows crash is still under investigation.
