Bicyclist Killed in Wilmington Hit-and-Run at Anaheim and Sampson
LOS ANGELES (December 14, 2018) – A bicyclist was killed after an alleged hit-and-run collision in the area of Anaheim Street and Sampson Avenue on Friday morning, according to KTLA.
The tragic accident took place about 5:15 a.m. at the intersection.
As per the article, Los Angeles police said a male bicyclist was going south across the westbound lanes of Anaheim Street when he collided with a big rig in the Wilmington neighborhood.
The semi-truck was traveling west on Anaheim when the cyclist struck the right, rear side of the tractor trailer.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded and confirmed that the rider succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
The name of the deceased has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the operator of the truck failed to stop and left the victim.
Police affirmed the big rig has a light-colored can and a dark brown trailer. The incident remains under investigation.
