Five Injured, Three Critically, in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, Calif. (August 23, 2021) — A Wilmington pedestrian accident on North Wilmington Boulevard left five people badly injured Monday morning at the intersection with Opp Street.
The multi-vehicle crash involved three motorists and an unknown number of pedestrians, police said. A black SUV, a black car and a white car collided in the accident. The white car had major front-end damage, according to KTLA. The two black vehicles had moderate damage.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the 1000 block of North Wilmington Boulevard about 10:45 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Meanwhile, three people were critically injured and two were treated for minor injuries, the LAFD reported. Paramedics transported all five to hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the circumstances leading up to the Wilmington pedestrian accident remain under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
