3 Children, 2 Adults Injured in Crash at Winchester Road and 9th Street
WINCHESTER, CA (October 5, 2021) – Several were injured after a car crash at Winchester Road and 9th Street.
The Riverside County Fire Department said the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:48 p.m. in Winchester.
According to Cal Fire, multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of Winchester Road and 9th Street.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of seven people hurt. One of them, a child, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Two more juveniles and one adult suffered minor injuries upon impact. Another adult ended up with moderate injuries and two other adults declined treatment.
Medical personnel took the seriously wounded patients to the hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the names of the victims and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area to shut down following the Winchester crash. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
